Thank goodness, all it needed was a day or two of writing, and some general whining before my edits got back on track.

I apologize to everyone in El-jay land out there that's had to deal with my whining. Chalk it up on edit-frustration, added with the double whammy of the agent thing, and there ya go. Not that I wasn't expecting both, but having both at once added on top of being tired and hormonal, well, that made the week really speshul.

At any rate, I sat down this morning and talked with the lovely and talented shadawyn and emailed vg_ford copious times, and then went and laid in bed and thought about book stuff. My husband came in and saw me staring at the ceiling and thought something was wrong. It's hard to explain to a non-writer that you're busy trying to think up book stuff as you lay in bed and regard the ceiling fan. ;)

But it worked! I'm meshing part of an idea I came up with last night and part of some new stuff.

The good news is that I got over 1k of edity stuff done on the book. This means I am almost done with draft, er, eight? Seven? Whatever draft I'm on. The bad news is that I'll need at least 2 more drafts after this. One to add in all the new plot foo, and one more to clean up the new stuff I've written.

I believe that at the end of this, Jolie shall have motivation. If not, I shall strangle her with my bare hands (on paper of course).

And I believe the book will end up sneaking back up to 90k, because I'm at 85k right now and I've still got a lot of stuff to add. Sigh.


OH! And I almost forgot. My bare-bones website (http://www.jcmadden.com) is now live! And when I say live, I mean the basics are up. None of the graphics are done, half the content isn't there, but you can still go and admire my background and my header-bar. Whee!
