I am weird

So when I'm working on one project, lately...I've been working on a concurrent project. Yes, the best way to get me excited about work is to give me MORE work. I know.

You will be happy to know that not only am I in revisions of WHEN SPARKS FLY for Berkley, but I have some indie projects sitting in the wings. I'm going to try and mention them on my Coming Soon page and keep that updated. Right now, this summer's schedule is looking like:

  • Finish revising WHEN SPARKS FLY
  • Revise side project #2 (This is a novel that I wrote and thought, Okay, No publisher is EVER going to buy this from me. I have a few of those in my trunk, alas.)
  • Start MIDNIGHT LIAISONS #2
  • Write Remy/Jackie/Zane novella.
  • Work on SUCCUBI ARE FOREVER

So that's what my summer looks like, kids. Projects will be shuffled back and forth (the succubus novella might come out before the novel, frex) and the contracted stuff will always, always be a priority. But I love having an overflowing schedule. It makes me feel invigorated, writing-wise, and I'm excited to keep writing more stuff.

And speaking of more stuff! Lookee!

This little goodie will be going up over the weekend! It's 16,000 words long, and those of you that liked MIRRORLIGHT will notice a similar fairy godmother making an appearance. It'll be available everywhere that I can stick an ebook up, and it'll be 99 cents. And this one's a little steamier than my usual fare, so be warned (and ready to clutch your pearls).

Here's the blurb:

Chloe Sorenson's just started a brand new job at Ms. Muffet’s art gallery. However, no one told her that the latest auction piece – a sculpture of a handsome Roman soldier – comes to life. Think it's hard to explain to your boss why you're fondling a statue? Try explaining to the statue why you're holding his, uh, fig leaf.

Chloe never thought that touching the statue would bring him to life, but she's not saying no to this sexy Roman soldier.  The curse requires that she touch him at all times? Such a hardship...

But there's a problem in their lust-fueled relationship; she’s falling dangerously in love with a guy that cursed to be hard as a rock - literally - unless she can somehow free him. And the statue of Titus just went up for auction. If  she doesn’t do something, he’s going to be out of her life and trapped for all eternity…
